Dentistry is a rapidly advancing science, and there are several new tips, techniques and technologies evolving to enhance the health of your teeth. Just as people are living longer, so can the look and function of your teeth. At Our Dentist, Dr. Brahmbhatt can accomplish so much more immediately and in-office because of the tools he has available. We can create customized crowns, inlays, onlays, and accurate 3D digital impressions that you can view from your chair, all in one appointment.
Long gone are the days of the tiny, grainy, two inch film x-rays of your childhood. Today, Dr. Brahmbhatt is able to take x-rays digitally, giving you faster, larger, higher resolution, clearer digital images that can be seen on a computer screen next to your chair. These images can be enlarged, zoomed in on specific areas, and saved in a computer file, so that they are never lost. Best of all, digital x-rays require significantly less exposure to radiation, up to 90% less.
Cone Beam CT
At Our Dentist, we can take precise 3D images in preparation for your dental surgery, allowing for accurate planning. Dental cone beam computed tomography (CT) is a special type of x-ray that provides a 3-D image of your teeth, the surrounding soft tissues, a layout of your nerve pathways and an accurate view of your bone and its mass in a single scan. Most commonly, we use dental cone beam CT for the treatment planning of surgical procedures including:
CEREC provides our patients the ultimate in digital dentistry technology, as it is our own personal milling station. In the past, a patient needing a dental restoration would have to return weeks later, while we waited for a dental lab to create their milled restoration. With the CEREC machine, now the lab is automated in our office. Dr. Brahmbhatt is able to automate the construction and production of a ceramic restoration in one visit. CEREC creates customized dental restorations from zirconium oxide in a single visit, so your dental restorations are now easier, faster, and more economical than ever. Using CEREC, we are able to create customized crowns, bridges, veneers, inlays and onlays while you wait.
Zirconium is quickly growing in popularity as the material of choice for dental restorations. This ceramic material is strong, durable, and looks just like your natural teeth.
Our team is here to help you diagnose and restore your teeth. We want you to have the look and function that you need. For more information on the technology that our office has available, contact Mitesh G. Brahmbhatt, DMD by calling his front office staff at (413) 217-4455.
